New date settled for EUROCK 2020: 12-14 October 2020
(updated May 12th 2020)

We are pleased to announce the new date for the 2020 ISRM International Symposium: 12-14 October 2020. The event will take place at the same venue in Trondheim, Norway. All associated ISRM meetings will also be moved to new dates, and the ISRM Board, Council and Commission meetings will be held during the weekend prior to the conference, i.e. from 9 – 11 October. Exact time and place for these ISRM activities will be announced by the ISRM when details are settled.

The current situation in Norway is that the virus spread is being significantly reduced, and therefore the Norwegian government has started to progressively lift restrictions, including previously set restrictions on gatherings. The same positive trend is observed also in many other countries, making us optimistic regarding the prospects of hosting a successful and safe EUROCK 2020 in October. The new date allows the Organizing Committee enough time to plan and arrange an interesting and relevant conference without compromising the safety of our delegates or other parties affected by our conference.

We acknowledge the prevailing uncertainty regarding how the pandemic develops, and also the uncertainty on how different countries will respond to the development in terms of travel restrictions. For this reason, all participants will be offered a very flexible cancellation option, also valid for already registered delegates. This will allow for cancellations close to the conference start. Conference registration will reopen 25 May, and the Early Bird discount will be given until 16 August. We remind all delegates that they are responsible for their own travel arrangements (incl. any cancellation fees/costs)

The EUROCK 2020 Organizing Committee are in close contact with the ISRM regarding our upcoming event, and they are supportive of our current plans.

We will continue to carefully monitor the situation via the Norwegian Directorate of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO).

We now work for an interesting and safe conference, full of learning and collegial networking in October.

Stay safe.

The EUROCK 2020 Organizing Committee.
